ERP Automation and AI Engineer

Job Overview

Seeking a visionary engineer with an ‘Automation First’ mindset to rethink core processes and enhance the system ecosystem. Focus on building resilient, data-driven systems using the best technologies, from robust scripts to smart AI agents. Full remote work is possible, with applications considered exclusively from Germany or the United Kingdom.

Responsibilities

• Analyze central value streams (e.g., Purchase-to-Pay), develop the automation roadmap, and deliver measurable business impact (e.g., reduction in cycle times and error rates).
• Build predictive monitoring and ‘self-healing’ mechanisms for critical interfaces to solve problems before they arise.
• Develop systems for automatic analysis and resolution of support tickets to reduce manual workload in the team.
• Build reusable automation services and make them available to the entire company via the internal AI platform (ChatAPV).
• Act as a technical sparring partner for specialist departments and product owners to uncover automation potentials across the organization.

Qualifications

• Live by ‘Automation First’ and ‘Systems Thinking’; identify root causes of problems and develop sustainable, systemic solutions.
• Solid experience in software development (ideally Python, SQL) and handling complex ERP landscapes (e.g., Odoo).
• Practical experience with workflow tools (e.g., n8n) and ideally initial exposure to applying LLM APIs or ML for solving business problems.
• Work according to the ‘You Build It, You Run It’ principle and take end-to-end responsibility for solutions.
• Communicate complex technical topics clearly and act as a bridge between tech and business.
