Job Overview

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Product Managers and Designers to develop and iterate on features.
• Support frontend and backend development needs.
• Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve software defects using manual and automated testing.
• Participate in Scrum rituals including planning, backlog grooming, sprint reviews, retrospectives, and daily standups.
• Contribute to transitioning the application to a service-based architecture.
• Squash bugs and maintain quality software.
• Contribute to technical estimates and planning for development tasks.
• Prepare and maintain technical documentation for features and system components.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of professional software development experience.
• Understanding of web applications with foundational experience in backend and frontend development.
• Desire and ability to learn and grow in a senior team environment.
• Strong collaboration skills in a team setting toward common goals.
• “Get it done” attitude with discernment between smart shortcuts and risky ones.
• Knowledge of established development practices for secure, reliable, and maintainable code.
• Experience with Relational Database Management Systems and writing SQL queries.
• Experience designing and implementing REST APIs.
• Experience with MySQL, PHP, React, and AWS is a plus.
• Experience with AI tools like Windsurf, Cursor, Claude, or similar, and prompt engineering is a plus.
