Senior Full Stack Software Engineer

Job Overview

This role involves full-stack development with a strong focus on web product development and AI/LLM integration for a GovTech platform. Responsibilities include end-to-end feature development, AI integration, architecture contributions, and close collaboration with founders and customers to translate user needs into technical solutions. The position is remote-first within Europe, full-time, and indefinite.

Responsibilities

• Develop end-to-end features and internal tools, from idea to rollout, including UI/UX design and backend engineering for MVPs and production features.
• Integrate LLMs into products, with experience in RAG pipelines (indexing, embeddings, chunking, evaluation), prompt design, guardrails, logging, and monitoring.
• Contribute to platform architecture (services, data models, security), handle deployment, CI/CD, monitoring, and ensure security, performance, cost efficiency, and stability.
• Work closely with founders and pilot customers, translate user needs into technical solutions and user stories, contribute ideas, prioritize, and make pragmatic decisions.

Qualifications

• Multiple years of professional full-stack product development experience (guideline: 4+ years).
• Strong knowledge of modern frontend frameworks like TypeScript, preferably Svelte or Vue.
• Strong knowledge of modern backend frameworks like Node.js or Django.
• Experience with relational databases, preferably PostgreSQL, including schema design and performance basics.
• Strong ownership mindset, product focus, ability to work in early-stage environments with minimal processes, and commitment to clean documentation.
• Excellent German and English language skills.
