Job Overview

Join the Reputation team to improve how review data is collected and stored, modularize systems, and build a company-wide review platform. Collaborate across the stack to deliver high-quality products in a two-sided marketplace, focusing on reviews, superhost recognition, standards enforcement, and insights.

Responsibilities

• Work with cross-functional partners like product managers and legal to design and deliver high-quality products.
• Create paved paths and best practices in reviews, standards, and insights.
• Define technical strategy and lead architecture, build, and launch of solutions for review flows and data provision.
• Work outside comfort zones for personal growth.
• Influence and align stakeholders on technical direction, goals, and roadmaps.
• Build efficient, reliable, performant, and scalable backend solutions.
• Collaborate to define product definitions and roadmaps.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of full-time experience in software engineering, information technology, or related domains.
• Proven track record of defining technical direction and owning architecture for large-scale, complex production systems.
• Ability to drive technical strategy and make architectural decisions spanning multiple teams and systems.
• Experience mentoring engineers and influencing technical decisions across teams.
• Experience with service-oriented architecture.
• Experience with Agentic Coding tools.
• Proficiency in one or more backend server languages (Ruby, Java, Kotlin) and storage systems like relational databases, NoSQL, and caching.
• Breadth of knowledge in reviews and metrics domain is a plus.
