Responsibilities
- Evaluate and assess organic system plans for completeness and accuracy.
- Work as part of a team to ensure consistency in certification processes with high integrity and quality.
- Support clients and staff with instructional materials, troubleshooting inspection issues, and documentation compliance.
- Manage client files to keep them current.
- Ensure positive client experiences through timely communication and technical assistance on certification processes.
- Assess operations’ premises and records for compliance with standards.
- Demonstrate leadership by promoting diversity, equity, inclusion, and continuous improvement in inspections.
- Represent the organization at trade shows and events.
Qualifications
- Inspector Level 1: Minimum 1 year relevant experience (e.g., farm operations, auditing, certification, compliance); knowledge of NOP standards or willingness to train; strong communication and computer skills; ability to perform basic arithmetic; enthusiasm for extensive travel; ability to work independently; valid driver’s license; commitment to lifelong learning.
- Inspector Level 2: Meets all Level 1 qualifications plus minimum 1 year inspection experience and 2 years professional experience directly related to the field.
