Provide administrative support for on-premises datacenter and cloud deployed services as a technology expert, offering guidance to junior team members. Oversee the design, documentation, implementation, and management of highly available and secure IT services, with a focus on cybersecurity integration throughout the IT lifecycle.
Responsibilities
- Perform reviews and compliance assessments on the cybersecurity posture of on-premises and cloud infrastructure, server configurations, and implementations.
- Review system designs, installations, and configurations for cybersecurity impacts.
- Plan technical activities to implement complex solutions, including design, modeling, security, integration, and formal testing.
- Apply expert-level subject-matter expertise to Information Assurance and security hardening requirements, ensuring integration of cybersecurity per DoD 8510.01.
- Support the PM or ISO in maintaining current authorization to operate, implementing corrective actions, and automating hardening using methods like Active Directory GPOs, DoD STIGs, and vulnerability remediation.
- Work with IS Security Officers to monitor IT environments for security events, assess configuration changes, and evaluate security controls.
- Report cybersecurity-related events or changes impacting IT authorization to relevant parties.
- Ensure ISSOs and privileged users receive technical training and cybersecurity certifications per AFMAN 17-1301 and 17-1303, and maintain clearances per DoD 8500.01.
- Maintain knowledge of cybersecurity, Zero Trust, and Sec/Dev/Ops developments, making recommendations for advancements.
- Design architectures for software, hardware, and communications to support current and future requirements.
- Troubleshoot hardware, network, storage, virtualization, software, and application issues to ensure optimum performance and continuity.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree and a minimum of 10 years of related experience.
- Active Secret security clearance required.
- Current Security+ CE, CEH, or CISSP certification.
- Skills in Cloud Infrastructure, Computer Security, Security Controls, System Security, and Technology Implementations.
- Experience with automation platforms and designing solutions to run at scale.
- US Citizenship required.
