Job Overview
Provide administrative support for on-premises datacenter and cloud deployed services as a technology expert, overseeing the design, documentation, implementation, and management of highly available and secure IT services. Offer guidance to junior team members and ensure integration of cybersecurity throughout the IT lifecycle.
Responsibilities
- Provide reviews and compliance assessments on the cybersecurity posture of on-premises and cloud infrastructure and server configurations.
- Review system designs, installations, and configurations for cybersecurity impacts.
- Plan technical activities to implement complex solutions, including design, modeling, security, integration, and formal testing.
- Apply expert-level subject-matter expertise to Information Assurance and security hardening requirements.
- Ensure the integration of cybersecurity into the IT lifecycle in accordance with DoD 8510.01.
- Support maintaining current authorization to operate and implement corrective actions.
- Implement automation to harden program assets using methods such as Active Directory Group Policy Objects, DoD Security Technical Implementation Guides, and vulnerability remediation.
- Work with Information System Security Officers to monitor the IT environment for security-relevant events and assess configuration changes.
- Report cybersecurity-related events or changes impacting IT authorization to relevant parties.
- Ensure ISSOs and privileged users receive technical training and maintain clearances per AFMAN standards.
- Maintain knowledge of cybersecurity, Zero Trust, and Sec/Dev/Ops developments, and recommend advancements.
- Design architectures for software, hardware, and communications to support technical specifications.
- Troubleshoot hardware, network, storage, virtualization, software, and application issues to ensure optimum performance.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree and a minimum of 10 years’ experience.
- Active Secret security clearance.
- Current Security+ CE, CEH, or CISSP certification.
- Experience with automation platforms and designing solutions to run at scale.
- Skills in Cloud Infrastructure, Computer Security, Security Controls, System Security, and Technology Implementations.
- US Citizenship required.
