QA Test Automation Engineer

Job Overview

This role involves ensuring software quality through manual testing and advancing toward AI-driven automated testing for a SaaS solution in the housing industry. Starting with learning the product and manual testing, the position evolves to designing, implementing, and maintaining end-to-end automated tests to create smart, stable, and scalable test automation.

Responsibilities

• Shape test strategy and architecture, performing exploratory, regression, and acceptance testing.
• Support release testing and final validations to ensure features are production-ready.
• Collaborate with key account management, customer support, product development, and IT teams to optimize processes.
• Take ownership of test architecture alongside the team lead.

Qualifications

• At least 3 years of experience in end-to-end testing, test automation, and manual QA.
• Proficiency in Cypress or Playwright and Git; the team uses Cypress with X-Ray/Cucumber for test management.
• Strong attention to detail and a perfectionist mindset.
• English required; German is a plus.
• Discipline for remote work, staying focused and productive independently.
• Nice to have: CI tools like GitHub Actions, Docker experience, and knowledge of ReactJS/TypeScript/HTML/CSS.
