Job Overview

This role involves advancing analytics for agency compensation and incentive programs, collaborating with sales analytics teams on sales planning, territory management, agency analytics, business performance, and multi-rater analytics. The position works with sales leadership, technical product managers, and product management to enhance analytics offerings. It is a hands-on individual contributor role requiring experience in P&C sales analytics, product management, or related fields, with a solid understanding of P&C concepts, sales/underwriting, strong analytics acumen, and the ability to partner across disciplines including sales leadership, product management, data science, and IT. The role is primarily remote but requires travel for the National Sales Meeting and other in-person events.

Responsibilities

  • Analyzes, creates, and maintains data dashboards and reports on Sales team goals and agency production using BI tools; supports development and administration of Sales goals.
  • Partners with Sales leaders to identify and resolve data issues, provide data support, and identify process improvement opportunities; presents findings to senior management.
  • Trains and mentors less experienced data analysts and Sales development users on data, technology, processes, automation, and new data sources.
  • Collaborates with management and colleagues to define reporting and analysis needs; develops project plans outlining business objectives, data scope, methodology, resources, and timelines; validates data accuracy and refines data-retrieval methods; supports Sales leaders on data initiatives.
  • Creates, monitors, audits, and analyzes reports on Sales rep goals, site visits, and agency performance to identify improvement opportunities; prepares reports, graphs, and charts to communicate findings.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree (BA, BS) preferably in Business Administration, Mathematics, or Statistics; preferred: Master’s degree.
  • Extensive experience in data manipulation using tools such as SAS, SQL, R, Python or equivalent.
  • At least 5 years of insurance related experience, preferably in sales or marketing or similar analytical role, including a minimum of 3 years in an analyst role.
  • Ability to provide reporting with complex data elements.
  • Preferred knowledge related to the Property & Casualty Insurance industry, as well as specific product lines: Home, Auto, and Commercial.
  • Professional written and verbal communication skills and ability to create efficient and engaging communication materials.
  • Intermediate mathematical/statistical reasoning required for accurate reporting.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
