Job Overview

This role involves manipulating and analyzing data to understand, visualize, and discuss marketing implications, with a focus on leveraging data to solve business problems and develop solutions in a nonprofit direct marketing context.

Responsibilities

  • Perform data engineering on large datasets using advanced SQL.
  • Design, develop, and produce output reports based on project requirements.
  • Develop and implement comprehensive tools and strategies that leverage large amounts of data for developing business insights.
  • Analyze and interpret data and historical trends to find actionable insights to inform strategies.
  • Present insights and strategies to stakeholders.
  • Define reporting, modeling, and analysis requirements in collaboration with stakeholder groups.
  • Work collaboratively with different stakeholder groups to develop new products and features for analytic offerings.
  • Perform other duties as required.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or advanced degree.
  • 5+ years’ experience in non-profit direct marketing, including understanding of data, reporting, and fundraising metrics.
  • Experience using donor relationship management systems (e.g., Salesforce, ROI, Blackbaud) or their data outputs.
  • Project management experience.
  • Knowledge of digital marketing programs and technologies.
  • Experience with data visualization platforms.
  • Experience integrating third-party APIs.
  • Proven ability to manipulate and analyze data from large databases using advanced SQL.
  • Demonstrated quantitative, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Advanced knowledge of MS Excel.
  • Ability to analyze data, understand implications, and make strategic recommendations.
  • Ability to convey complex requirements and analytic processes to marketing staff.
  • Experience as a people manager.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced team environment, coordinating multiple projects with tight deadlines.
  • Superior attention to detail and quality control skills.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills.
