Digital Product Strategy Consultant

Define the what and why of digital experiences for agents, brokers, and members in group health products. Partner with product leaders to shape and prioritize digital initiatives including portals, quoting, and implementation tools. Focus on user experience by mapping workflows, uncovering pain points, and understanding operational impacts. Translate insights into business cases, track projects, surface risks, and drive agile delivery.
Responsibilities
- Serve as a technical professional in analyzing pricing, design features, product, and profitability.
- Actively find opportunities for improvement and make solution recommendations.
- Provide support and guidance related to product design and management.
- Provide high-level strategic input on key initiatives addressing product strategy and profitability objectives.
- Participate and lead new business development and implementation projects.
- Work with Product Directors to predict needs and issues, acting as a resource.
- Identify and evaluate business opportunities, partnering with leadership for financial assessments and profitability recommendations.
- Investigate and assist in developing new tools and technology to improve product performance.
- Review and analyze market information on benchmark competitors.
Qualifications
- Experience shaping digital products or workflows with a strong user experience and process lens; health plan or group benefits experience is a plus.
- Systems thinker who understands ecosystem impacts and is comfortable working with existing platforms to improve experiences.
- Proven project or program management skills for handling multiple initiatives, monitoring progress, and managing risks.
- Background in agile, fast-moving organizations emphasizing iterative delivery, experimentation, and continuous improvement.
