Enterprise Risk Management Specialist

The Enterprise Risk Specialist provides complex risk analysis and support to senior management and internal clients to embed enterprise risk management into material business decisions, ensuring emerging risks are identified early and managed deliberately. This role also provides risk advisory support for major strategic initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Implement ERM process, including risk identification, ownership, scoring, monitoring, reporting, mitigation quantification and planning.
- Support Enterprise Risk Management annual planning process.
- Respond to external compliance and reporting requirements.
- Assist with preparation of standard Board reports and updates (quarterly reports to Audit Committee & annual reports to the full Board).
- Establish processes to monitor and track risks on an ongoing basis. Develop risk reporting mechanisms to provide timely and accurate information to management and stakeholders. Highlight emerging risks and trends for proactive risk management.
- Develop reports and analysis to support business decisions on enterprise programs.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 6+ years of proven experience in insurance, financial analysis, actuarial, underwriting, or product management required.
- Prior experience in Enterprise Risk Management strongly preferred.
- Strong organizational and project management skills to accurately complete complex projects within tight deadlines, including ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- A solution-oriented problem solver with strong analytical skills. Able to quickly gain a working knowledge of the company’s operations and overall business goals and objectives.
- Experience working with operational / product / financial measures and models, including analysis of results.
- Ability to collaborate with all levels of personnel from end users to executive management.
- Ability to influence results with or without formal authority, often delivering results through others.
- Ability to build business case scenarios.
- People-oriented with excellent communication skills.
