IT Operations Manager

This role involves building and managing the internal IT Operations function to ensure the stability, integrity, and excellence of core information technology systems. Reporting to the Director/VP of Technology, the position oversees cloud infrastructure, hardware assets, SaaS applications, and a dedicated team, while serving as the key escalation point for IT issues.
Responsibilities
- Build, manage, and mentor a high-performing IT Operations team, including Cloud Engineers, SaaS Administrators, and SMEs.
- Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement, providing professional development opportunities.
- Serve as the primary escalation point for the IT Operations team, resolving complex IT business issues and developing SOPs and best practices.
- Oversee administration, maintenance, and optimization of internal Cloud Platform environments, including Compute Engine, GKE, Cloud Storage, BigQuery, Vertex AI, Gemini Enterprise, and NotebookLM Enterprise.
- Lead discussions on cloud infrastructure use, advise on best practices, and ensure availability, security, and cost-efficiency, including IAM policies, network security, monitoring, and logging.
- Lead administration, integration, and optimization of core corporate SaaS portfolio, including Google Workspace, Salesforce, Rippling, Atlassian, Slack, Google Partner Tools, Office 365, ChurnZero, Ramp, Asana, WiseStamp, EasyDMARC, GoDaddy, and others.
- Design and enforce a comprehensive IAM strategy using Rippling IT, including automated provisioning/de-provisioning and adherence to the Principle of Least Privilege.
- Oversee development and maintenance of integration strategy using iPaaS solutions like Workato, Google Apps Script, and custom scripts for automated workflows.
Qualifications
- Hands-on, highly technical background with deep understanding of modern infrastructure and SaaS management.
- Experience leading and mentoring IT teams, guiding technical strategy, and getting hands-on when needed.
- Proficiency in cloud platforms (e.g., Google Cloud services), IAM, network security, monitoring tools, and SaaS administration.
- Ability to establish operational processes and serve as a player-coach in a fast-growing environment.
