Job Overview

The Technical Account Manager role involves translating customer requirements into technically viable solutions for the construction portfolio. It operates at the intersection of sales, product, and delivery, ensuring solutions are properly specified, value is articulated, and opportunities are de-risked. The position serves as the technical authority in the sales cycle to support internal teams and external partners in winning deals.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with sales, channel managers, and OEM key accounts on qualified opportunities, leading technical discovery sessions and designing end-to-end solutions including hardware, software, and workflows.
  • Build solution configurations for the UK market and support commercial positioning with ROI justification.
  • Deliver product demonstrations on-site and remotely, run field trials to prove value, and support conversion from proof of concept to commercial commitment.
  • Act as a technical advisor to OEM distributors and dealer partners, supporting joint customer visits and enabling partners through product training, application guidance, and use-case deployment.
  • Develop standard solution architectures, define application playbooks by segment, and contribute to ROI tools, demo scripts, and technical collateral.
  • Shape opportunities in middle and bottom funnel stages, identify and mitigate technical risks, and ensure pipeline quality through validation.
  • Facilitate post-sales handover and capture field feedback to improve product performance, sales messaging, and implementation approaches.

Qualifications

  • Experience in machine control, construction technology, or geospatial solutions.
  • Strong understanding of earthmoving workflows, site operations, and contractor pain points.
  • Ability to translate technical features into business value.
