Associate Account Executive

Job Overview

This role involves member-facing interactions to achieve significant cost savings through VHPC portfolio purchasing agreements. Responsibilities include presenting vendor contract information, facilitating analytics, documenting savings, providing feedback to the Contract Sourcing Department, and supporting member retention via ongoing savings and value realization.

Responsibilities

• Maintain routine interactions with assigned members, including Chief Supply Chain Officers, Purchasing Agents, CFOs, CEOs, and other C-Suite leadership, to drive savings and value by maximizing VHPC contract usage.
• Work with analytics and pivot tables to validate and document savings, and present financial and value propositions for contract savings.
• Handle internal documentation of contract usage and savings for invoicing purposes.
• Collaborate as a team player, sharing results and opportunities with VHPC team members and clients.
• Facilitate meetings and interactions with vendor representatives and VHPC members when needed.
• Participate in conventions and other marketing venues as required.

Qualifications

• Intermediate Program Management: Planning, organizing, and managing resources to achieve savings goals.
• Intermediate Financial Processes: Monitoring costs, expenses, revenue, and managing in relation to budgets.
• Intermediate Process Improvement: Identifying, analyzing, and improving business processes for optimization and quality.
• Intermediate Peer Leadership: Demonstrating leadership to influence peers and superiors for team goals.
• Intermediate Networking: Building relationships through industry contacts and professional organizations.
• Intermediate Quality Management: Developing processes to ensure services meet requirements.
• Intermediate or above Excel skills: Exporting data, creating documents, pivot tables, VLOOKUP, and other functions.
• Intermediate PowerPoint: For presentations, business reviews, and ad hoc value demonstrations.
• Ability to use and navigate business applications like Vizient Portal.
