Business Development Manager

This role focuses on driving profitable growth by managing an assigned book of business and developing new customers across North America and Mexico facilities. The position requires strong sales, negotiation, and organizational skills to build customer relationships and ensure strategic goals for revenue, profit, and growth are met. It is a remote or hybrid opportunity involving interaction with cross-functional teams and up to 50% travel.
Responsibilities
- Manage assigned book of business and pursue new customers for profitable growth.
- Uncover and evaluate new contract manufacturing opportunities to align with revenue, profit, and growth goals.
- Review and approve repricing of existing parts and programs while maintaining profitability.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with key customer contacts and influencers.
- Schedule business review meetings and monitor customer score cards.
- Provide accurate inputs for sales forecasts and collaborate with internal teams for program execution.
- Travel as needed, estimated at 50%+.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business or Engineering preferred, or equivalent education and experience.
- 3+ years of sales experience in injection molding, blow-molding, or contract manufacturing; experience managing large key accounts considered.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and CRM systems; ERP experience (Delmia/IQMS a plus).
- Strong understanding of ISO Quality System standards.
- Knowledge of injection and blow molding processes preferred.
- Ability to manage long sales cycles (12+ months) and travel with overnight stays.
- Minimal physical requirements: ability to sit for up to 8 hours and lift up to 40 pounds occasionally.
