Business Development Representative

Join the commercial team as the first Business Development Representative in the region to generate new business opportunities and build the pipeline across Southeast Asia and the broader APAC wealth and investment management ecosystem. Work closely with Sales, Marketing, and cross-functional partners to identify, engage, and qualify target accounts in a dynamic fintech sales role.
Responsibilities
- Prospect and qualify new business opportunities across the Singapore and APAC region
- Create, manage, and prioritize a targeted list of strategic accounts aligned with commercial strategy
- Conduct high-level discovery conversations and engage key stakeholders in private banks, family offices, RIAs, and investment management firms
- Build and maintain account intelligence: perform research, add contacts, track activity, and collaborate on territory planning with Account Executives
- Help shape outbound messaging, regional campaign strategies, and prospecting tactics that resonate in local markets
- Consistently meet or exceed quarterly quotas for qualified opportunities passed to the Sales team
Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience in outbound sales or business development, ideally in SaaS, fintech, or financial services
- Strong interest in wealth management, private capital, or investment technology; prior exposure is a plus
- Proactive, goal-oriented, and excited to build something new in a high-growth, cross-border environment
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with a confident, polished, and professional presence
- Comfortable working independently and collaborating with remote teams across multiple time zones
- Experience using Salesforce or similar CRM platforms is a plus
- Fluency in English; additional languages (e.g., Mandarin, Bahasa, Japanese) are a plus given the regional nature of the role
