Job Overview

Supervises a team of Claims Consultants and Support Specialists, manages key accounts, and acts as a subject matter expert in Workers’ Compensation Claims. Partners with leadership to optimize Retro and ReClaim programs, ensures compliance with processes, and drives team performance while handling a caseload of claims.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as subject matter expert on Workers’ Compensation Claims, monitoring and owning success metrics like claims closure and freeze reviews.
  • Partner with Director of Retro/ReClaim to ensure high-performing programs, presenting data and recommendations.
  • Perform quality checks, ensure team adherence to processes, and handle escalations using customer service skills.
  • Represent in Board of Industrial Appeals hearings and support team preparation.
  • Provide coaching, feedback, and manage performance to align with organizational goals.
  • As a working supervisor, manage caseload including investigating claims, developing action plans, coordinating with stakeholders, conducting freeze reviews, and advising on return-to-work programs.
  • Collaborate with Loss Control and support Marketing/Sales as needed.
