Manage an established book of business for small business clients, handling renewals, issuing insurance documents, and conducting consultative conversations to maintain relationships with clients and carriers.
Responsibilities
- Manage renewals, provide summaries, and issue binders, certificates, policies, proposals, and other documents within timelines.
- Conduct consultative conversations with commercial clients and establish/maintain carrier and client relationships.
- Obtain renewal quotes, complete renewal processes, handle non-renewals and cancellations, and prepare marketing submissions as needed.
- Identify cross-sell and up-sell opportunities.
- Support miscellaneous duties to expand and grow in the role.
Qualifications
- Insurance experience in customer service or account management for 3 years or more.
- Property/Casualty License (all lines).
- Relevant knowledge of insurance products, documents, and usages.
- Computer skills including Word, Excel, and Outlook; Applied/EPIC experience preferred.
- Ability to work independently and on a team.
- Attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Open to continuing education; college degree or equivalent industry designations preferred.
- Positive attitude in a fast-paced environment.
- Passion for making customers and coworkers feel valued.
- Capability to work quickly and efficiently.
- Methodical decision-making skills.
