Job Overview

Manage an established book of business for small business clients, handling renewals, issuing insurance documents, and conducting consultative conversations to maintain relationships with clients and carriers.

Responsibilities

  • Manage renewals, provide summaries, and issue binders, certificates, policies, proposals, and other documents within timelines.
  • Conduct consultative conversations with commercial clients and establish/maintain carrier and client relationships.
  • Obtain renewal quotes, complete renewal processes, handle non-renewals and cancellations, and prepare marketing submissions as needed.
  • Identify cross-sell and up-sell opportunities.
  • Support miscellaneous duties to expand and grow in the role.

Qualifications

  • Insurance experience in customer service or account management for 3 years or more.
  • Property/Casualty License (all lines).
  • Relevant knowledge of insurance products, documents, and usages.
  • Computer skills including Word, Excel, and Outlook; Applied/EPIC experience preferred.
  • Ability to work independently and on a team.
  • Attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Open to continuing education; college degree or equivalent industry designations preferred.
  • Positive attitude in a fast-paced environment.
  • Passion for making customers and coworkers feel valued.
  • Capability to work quickly and efficiently.
  • Methodical decision-making skills.
