Contracts Manager

Job Overview

Serve as front-line contracting support for U.S. State & Local Government opportunities, including ownership of the Legal work stream for RFP responses and providing commercial renewal execution support. Help build and improve contracting processes across SLED, RFPs, and renewals, with potential additional responsibilities in the Legal function such as insurance program support and intellectual property coordination.

Responsibilities

• Draft, review, redline, and negotiate a variety of agreements including MSAs, NDAs, DPAs, SOWs, and SaaS agreements.
• Handle public sector (SLED/SLG) contracting by reviewing, negotiating, and managing agreements from intake through signature, including customer terms, award documents, exhibits/addenda, and required forms.
• Identify and drive resolution of common public-sector issues such as required clauses, certifications, insurance, and data/privacy/security requirements, partnering with internal stakeholders.
• Develop and standardize SLED contracting playbooks, templates, and intake/triage processes to reduce cycle time and improve consistency.
• Own the Legal portion of RFP/RFI responses, including intake, project planning, deadline management, drafting legal responses, and coordinating cross-functional inputs.
• Build and maintain reusable response assets like standard language, must-have exceptions, and review checklists, while continuously improving the RFP Legal response process.
• Support the channel sales team by negotiating commercial renewals and customer contracting administration.

Qualifications

• Experience in drafting, reviewing, negotiating, and managing contracts, particularly in public sector (SLED/SLG) environments.
• Knowledge of RFP/RFI response processes and legal work streams.
• Ability to partner with internal stakeholders to resolve contracting issues.
• Skills in process improvement, standardization, and project management for legal responses and renewals.
