Job Overview

Support the digitalization and modernization of a growing company’s system landscape in plastic recycling. Drive ERP consolidation, build modern IT architecture, and introduce AI-supported processes to enhance operations across production, logistics, procurement, quality management, and administration.

Responsibilities

  • Operationally support the group-wide rollout of the ERP solution PolyERP at all locations, replacing Navision, Rona, and Excel-based solutions.
  • Coordinate between locations, departments, and external implementation partners.
  • Ensure a uniform, clean data basis as the foundation for further digitalization steps.
  • Build a modern, future-proof IT architecture for the entire group.
  • Identify and implement digitalization and automation potentials in production, logistics, procurement, quality management, and administration.
  • Introduce AI-supported solutions and digital workflows (e.g., based on LLMs, automation tools like n8n or Power Automate).
  • Develop reporting and dashboard solutions for data-based group management.
  • Collaborate closely with site managers and executive management on prioritizing and implementing IT initiatives.

Qualifications

  • Very good university or college degree in an open field (e.g., business informatics, engineering, business administration, computer science, or equivalent).
  • Track record in operational implementation of digital or AI initiatives and modern automation solutions.
  • Ideally experience in manufacturing SMEs or similar operational environments.
  • Basic understanding of ERP systems, data models, and interface logics.
  • Confident handling of structured data (Excel, SQL, etc.) and willingness to learn new tools.
  • Overview of current AI tools and automation solutions (LLMs, agents, RPA, etc.) and sense for meaningful applications in industrial settings.
  • Experience or strong interest in BI tools and data-based company management.
  • Strong hands-on mentality and enjoyment in pragmatically getting things running.
  • Structured, independent work style with high implementation orientation.
  • Strong communication skills with operational teams, site managers, and external partners.
  • Ability to explain technical topics understandably and build acceptance among employees with varying IT affinity.
  • Willingness to travel for occasional site visits.
