This role involves leading construction services operations to ensure mission success, compliance, and quality performance. The position focuses on developing and executing departmental strategies aligned with corporate goals and government client needs, while overseeing contract execution, staff development, and business development efforts.
Responsibilities
- Oversee contract execution, monitor performance, and ensure financial tracking and health.
- Report funding needs and challenges to clients and ensure deliverables are met on time and within budget.
- Work with leadership to set strategic goals and facilitate goal creation across the function.
- Provide detailed status updates to leadership and serve as a resource for direction.
- Participate in interviewing, supervise teams, mentor staff, and foster teamwork.
- Resolve problems between teams and stakeholders.
- Coordinate implementation plans, monitor performance, and ensure team utilization at 100% while maintaining personal utilization at 75%.
- Serve as a Subject Matter Expert in business development, including capture and proposal efforts.
- Develop Past Performance Questionnaires and build relationships with government customers, primes, and subcontractors.
- Participate in strategic business plans and contact prospective customers through networking and events.
- Identify new project opportunities, analyze RFPs, review acquisition policies, and lead proposal decisions and competitive assessments.
Qualifications
- Twenty plus (20+) years of related experience with progressive responsibility in program and project management.
- Master’s degree in a relevant area.
- PMP certification.
- Track record of applying change, risk, and resource management principles.
- Experience leading and managing staff and budgets.
- Strong problem-solving, negotiation, and communication skills.
- Outstanding interpersonal relationship building, employee coaching, and development skills.
