Job Overview

The role involves driving and delivering direct mail campaigns for a diverse portfolio of clients. It focuses on developing and executing tailored strategies that address unique client needs and business objectives, using data-driven insights to maximize campaign effectiveness.

Responsibilities

  • Support the design, planning, and execution of effective marketing campaigns aligned with client outcomes.
  • Collaborate with VP of Strategy to develop strategies achieving client goals, including budget, marketing, pricing, planning, and targeted results.
  • Develop preliminary targeted strategies using research, tools, partnered analytics, database analysis, data mining, and potential response, risk, or conversion models.
  • Collaboratively develop testable data sources, offers, creative formats, copy platforms, and potential cross-sell or upsell mapping.
  • Analyze campaign and program results and provide actionable recommendations for improvement.
  • Speak knowledgeably about and support presentations to prospective clients for business development.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor or manager.

Qualifications

  • Proven knowledge of direct marketing data, analytics management, model development, application, and testing.
  • Understanding of key components of successful direct mail creative packages.
  • Understanding or ability to learn key performance indicators for served industries.
  • Motivated self-starter confident in leading through expertise.
  • Ability to initiate and prioritize multiple projects effectively.
  • Proven internal customer service experience, with external preferred.
  • Excellent customer service, relationship-building, problem-solving, and influence skills; exceptional written and verbal communication.
  • Strong team player with collaborative problem-solving skills.
  • Capable of thriving in a fast-paced environment with strong work ethic and high integrity.
  • Adaptable and flexible in ambiguous environments, responsive to business priorities.
  • Proficiency in English, verbally and written.
  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, or related field required; Master’s in marketing a plus.
  • Minimum 2-3 years’ experience in a strategist or similar role; prior direct marketing experience strongly preferred.
  • Diverse experience across industries preferred.
