This part-time role involves executing donor engagement strategies to grow philanthropy for nationally recognized non-profits focused on systemic equality and civil rights. Reporting to the Donor Advancement Manager and under the strategic direction of an Account Manager, the role manages a portfolio of mid-level donors, nurturing relationships through multi-channel communications to ensure ongoing support.
Responsibilities
- Communicate and engage with a portfolio of approximately 1,500 mid-level donors using email, phone, text, and mail.
- Identify needs of high-value donors and execute strategies to retain their support.
- Rectify or escalate donor requests and questions to management or the client team.
- Fulfill outreach expectations by responding to communications within expected timeframes and completing weekly assignments.
- Build relationships using donor data and moves management, conversing knowledgeably with donors from diverse backgrounds.
- Track engagement, progress, and preferences by documenting data in proprietary software.
- Participate in client calls and quarterly training.
- Conduct internet research on donors as needed.
- Complete quality control checks and extract data for reporting.
- Handle other tasks related to donor relationship management.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Committed to providing professional, high-quality customer service to donors and non-profit partners.
- Knowledge of the fundraising cycle and non-profit industry.
- Experience with Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel and Outlook.
- Experience with donor CRM tools such as Salesforce or Raiser’s Edge preferred.
- Experience in fundraising, sales, customer service, or equivalent volunteer experience desired.
- Non-profit experience preferred.
