Job Overview

Serve as a strategic advisor and hands-on support partner to field leaders in aligning HR practices with operational goals, driving performance, coaching leaders, improving employee relations, supporting recruitment, and ensuring compliance with employment laws. This role involves proactive field engagement and commitment to enhancing the employee experience.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with operations leadership to support HR strategies improving recruitment, performance, retention, and culture.
  • Lead full-cycle recruitment for field management roles and provide indirect support for hourly hiring.
  • Lead onboarding for assigned managers, ensuring alignment with company culture and standards.
  • Conduct in-market visits, climate checks, and employee investigations to evaluate concerns and ensure compliance.
  • Provide coaching, feedback, and performance guidance to leadership, including corrective actions and development planning.
  • Support personnel actions such as hiring, terminations, promotions, and disciplinary actions.
  • Facilitate bench planning, workforce planning, and succession strategies.
  • Act as a mentor and expert on recruiting, employee relations, compliance, and leadership development.
  • Identify HR training needs and deliver or coordinate sessions on relevant topics.
  • Drive employee engagement and address team dynamics or cultural concerns.
  • Participate in meetings and collaborate cross-functionally to align HR programs with goals.
  • Maintain understanding of employment laws and proactively identify risks.
  • Support change management during transitions or restructuring.
  • Maintain records for investigations, employee relations, and personnel decisions.
  • Manage unemployment claims process.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of progressive HR experience with strong background in recruiting, employee relations, investigations, coaching, and compliance.
  • Ideal for hospitality, restaurant, or retail HR professionals.
