Job Overview

Lead and coordinate crane installation projects across the UK, ensuring delivery on time, within budget, and to the highest safety and engineering standards while providing excellent customer experience. Work closely with installers, planners, sales teams, and external partners to install and commission products, supporting business goals and driving continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct site visits at tender stage to confirm installation methodologies and budget alignment
  • Develop and present lift plans and documentation, explaining methodologies to clients
  • Source and coordinate labour, plant, and materials for installations
  • Lead installation teams through installation, commissioning, handover, and documentation
  • Maintain and enforce Safe Systems of Work and Risk Assessments
  • Support sales team with installation input during project offerings
  • Maximize productivity and utilization of installation resources
  • Coordinate with planners, manage delays, resolve issues, and keep customers informed
  • Champion customer experience to encourage repeat business
  • Drive continuous improvement in installation processes and efficiency

Qualifications

  • Strong planning, prioritizing, and organizational skills
  • Proven experience in construction-based projects
  • Experience managing remote, field-based teams
  • Understanding of Lifting Directives, Machinery Directive, and Building Standards
  • Ability to interpret architectural, engineering, and OEM drawings
  • Strong IT skills including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and AutoCAD
  • Effective problem-solving skills
  • Strong people management and leadership skills
  • Excellent communication skills across all levels
  • Appointed Person qualification with experience
  • CPCS Lifting Supervisor
  • CPCS Slinger/Signaller
  • Evidence of Supervisory or Management discipline
  • Site-based safety qualifications (SMSTS, IOSH, NEBOSH)
  • Mechanical and/or Electrical qualification NVQ minimum
