Mass Arbitration Counsel

Job Overview

This role involves joining a team handling mass arbitrations for Amazon Flex delivery drivers alleging misclassification as independent contractors. The position focuses on representing drivers from California, Illinois, and Massachusetts in individual arbitrations with the American Arbitration Association, with all proceedings conducted remotely via video conference. The role is expected to last at least one year and may be renewed based on litigation needs.

Responsibilities

• Lead all stages of arbitrations, including motions practice, discovery, hearing preparation, and final hearings.
• Develop strong attorney-client relationships with Amazon Flex delivery driver claimants.
• Develop and execute legal strategies in close collaboration with other members of the litigation team.

Qualifications

• At least three years of experience, preferably including litigation (civil or criminal) and/or government investigations.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Must reside in Connecticut, District of Columbia, Florida, Illinois, Massachusetts, Maryland, Minnesota, North Carolina, New Jersey, New York, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, Texas, or Virginia.
• Must be an active member of the state bar in the residence/work state or an active member of the state bar of California, Illinois, or Massachusetts.
