Job Overview

The National Account Executive supports day-to-day account management with Route to Market partners and end customers in the On-Trade sector, based in Scotland (remote). The role involves forecasting, administration, business development, and team support to drive volume, profit, and business growth in the wine industry.

Responsibilities

  • Forecasting for Regional Groups to meet Demand Control targets.
  • Promotional tracking and pricing in Anaplan (Vinarchy P&P IT System).
  • Developing buyer relationships to identify opportunities for promo activity and new listings.
  • Managing and delivering budgeted GP to National Group targets.
  • Assisting Channel Controller with ad hoc projects and reports, and supporting other On Trade National accounts.
  • Working with Category Insight Team to support listings and promotions across the customer portfolio.
  • Understanding customers’ business models and promotional cycles to showcase brands and drive volume and profit.
  • Visiting key customer outlets to monitor promotion implementation.
  • Executing and delivering the Business plan for identified targets.

Qualifications

  • At least 1 year experience as a National Account Executive in an FMCG environment within On Trade.
  • Previous experience in account/customer management, ideally with direct P&L responsibility.
  • Strong selling and negotiation skills to drive business growth and secure profitable deals.
  • Ability to analyze data to build arguments for commercial benefit.
  • Genuine enthusiasm and knowledge about the products for compelling communication and customer engagement.
  • Customer-focused approach to deliver exceptional service and build lasting relationships.
  • Clear and effective communication with customers, teams, and stakeholders.
  • Ability to build proactive working relationships with colleagues, customers, and partners.
  • Results-oriented focus on achieving targets and driving performance.
