Job Overview

This fixed-term role involves administering and coordinating site procurement, purchasing, goods receipting, and inventory control for a mining project. The position ensures accurate sourcing, receipt, recording, and payment of goods and services in compliance with company policies and SAP system requirements, supporting financial control and operational continuity in a remote environment.

Responsibilities

  • Receive and verify purchase requisitions according to the Delegated Authority Policy.
  • Review requisitions for appropriate cost centres, project codes, and item descriptions.
  • Source quotations from approved suppliers to achieve best value based on cost, quality, and delivery.
  • Raise Purchase Requests and Orders, maintain records in SAP, and issue orders to suppliers.
  • Liaise with suppliers on order status, deliveries, and variations; track and follow up on orders.
  • Process credits, returns, or amendments and update records.
  • Ensure compliance with procurement and contract management procedures.
  • Perform goods receipting in SAP, verifying deliveries against orders.
  • Monitor inventory and stock levels, including critical spares.
  • Maintain stock records and support stocktakes.
  • Identify low-stock items and initiate replenishment.

Qualifications

  • Experience in procurement, purchasing, and inventory control in a remote or operational environment.
  • Proficiency in SAP systems for procurement, receipting, and inventory management.
  • Knowledge of compliance with company policies, delegated authorities, and financial controls.
  • Strong organizational skills for coordinating suppliers and tracking deliveries.
