Job Overview

Coordinate activities for healthcare sector workforce and education programs in rural Arizona, providing guidance to grants and finance teams on subaward status. Directly manage program staff including Education Liaison, Industry Liaison, and Compliance staff. Manage contracts and activities related to advisory councils and networks. The position is grant-funded and reports to the Workforce Sector Strategies Administrator.

Responsibilities

  • Manage program elements for rural health transformation workforce activities, ensuring compliance and overseeing budgets for program and subrecipient entities.
  • Track labor market information, demographic trends, and program performance metrics to evaluate training and placement services, ensuring timely reporting.
  • Develop workforce training models and engagement strategies aligned with healthcare needs in rural Arizona.
  • Serve as a liaison between local businesses, community organizations, and government entities to identify partnership opportunities for sustainable pipeline development.
  • Represent the organization at community forums to promote program awareness and activation.
  • Perform other duties as assigned related to the position.

Qualifications

  • Deep understanding of program elements, CMS and AHCCCS reporting requirements, monitoring, and experience managing Federal Cooperative Agreements.
  • Ability to develop long-range goals for regional economic growth and talent enablement.
  • Strong public speaking and presentation skills for briefings with education, industry, and community stakeholders.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders, including technical, financial, and academic staff.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, public administration, or related field preferred.
