This role involves managing and mobilizing conservation programming in partnership with the Wood for Life Initiative, focusing on indigenous youth, young adults, and military veterans in the southwestern US. The position requires frequent travel to tribal nations and ensures safety, program quality, and effective partnerships.
Responsibilities
- Supervise staff in ALCC program offices.
- Ensure program participants meet risk management and quality standards.
- Develop partnerships with local, state, federal, and Tribal entities.
- Support and prepare crews for safety, program integrity, and quality projects.
- Provide technical skills, risk management, and leadership training to Crew Leaders and Corpsmembers.
- Oversee development of projects, partnerships, budgets, scheduling, and fundraising.
- Develop and maintain partner relationships and coordination.
- Implement Crew Leader and Corpsmember trainings and orientations.
- Assist crews with technical support.
- Plan and support Wood Bank Individual Placement positions in tribal communities.
- Provide operations and logistics oversight to the Wood for Life Firewood Initiative.
Qualifications
