This senior-level executive role focuses on driving strategic growth and expansion for aircraft modification and integration business through market research, competitive analysis, financial modeling, and negotiation to secure new ventures and revenue.
Responsibilities
- Build and maintain a 5-year pipeline of new opportunities valued at $10M-$300M, focusing on prime pursuits including multiple award IDIQ and stand-alone contracts.
- Contribute to organic and acquisitive growth through target identification and competitive insights.
- Represent solutions to clients, industry forums, and other companies while maintaining a visible industry presence.
- Monitor market dynamics and client requirements, concerns, gaps, budgets, and organizational changes.
- Identify and qualify new opportunities through a gate review process and develop winning bid strategies.
- Position the organization advantageously against competitors and identify viable teaming partners.
- Develop market analysis, competitor assessments, and capability presentations.
- Maintain knowledge of company’s functional and technical capabilities to maximize competitive offerings.
- Engage with clients using strong interpersonal skills to create and execute strategic business plans.
- Participate in color reviews including Black hat sessions, Pink and Red teams, and White team/lessons learned.
- Draft, implement, maintain, and update market- or client-specific business plans.
- Perform other related duties as assigned and exhibit professional behavior aligned with company values.
Qualifications
- Knowledge and experience in manned aircraft system modification and integration, including FAA and MFR certification or military equivalents, ISR, APNT, loitering munitions, UAS, or Counter-UAS.
- Demonstrated winning record leading new business pursuits in the $10M-100M range of actual contract value in the recent 3-5 years.
- Presence and network within professional circles and associations is a plus.
- Trained in Shipley BD/Capture Management or professional equivalent.
- Highly competitive and driven to win, with financial literacy in cost structures and returns on investment.
- Ability to develop, retain, and maximize focus on client needs.
- Excellent ability to acquire and apply knowledge of company’s operations and core competencies for integrated solutions.
- Analytical thinker, creative problem-solver with resource integration abilities.
- Polished communication skills for developing, presenting, and promoting solutions to decision-makers in public and private sectors.
- Ability to establish and maintain successful working relationships with clients, corporate leaders, project managers, staff, and partners.
- Knowledge of trends in government and industry affecting the core business.
