The role involves prospecting, developing, and closing new business opportunities for bill payment solutions within the Utilities segment in the Western US. It requires building trusted relationships with prospective customers, understanding their needs, and positioning products to create value, while achieving sales quotas and managing the sales process end-to-end.
Responsibilities
- Identify and establish net new logo opportunities within the Western US for Tier 1 and Tier 2 utilities companies and municipalities, achieving individual annual sales quota targets.
- Own and manage prospect territory, establishing and maintaining relationships with key decision makers and senior stakeholders.
- Act as the primary point of contact for assigned prospects, coordinating cross-functional resources to advance sales opportunities.
- Develop and execute territory and account strategies to create, qualify, and progress opportunities aligning customer needs with the solution portfolio.
- Demonstrate understanding of customer business models, operational challenges, and technology requirements in payments and financial services.
- Identify opportunities to introduce and expand products, crafting compelling value propositions.
- Manage the end-to-end sales process, including qualification, proposal development, pricing, negotiation, and transition to post-sales support.
- Maintain accurate CRM records and provide regular pipeline, forecast, and opportunity updates.
- Perform due diligence on prospective customers and stay current on products, competitors, and industry trends.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or global equivalent, or equivalent relevant work experience.
- Minimum of 8 years of successful experience in sales or business development.
