The Senior Project Scheduler provides planning and scheduling support for federal government opportunities and contracts, working with operations teams. This role involves travel to various sites to collect information, develop schedules, and solutions across all project phases from RFP to closeout. The position is remote and may involve managing multiple projects and direct reports.
Responsibilities
- Guide and direct schedule work in accordance with company standard policies and procedures as assigned
- Develop bid, preliminary, and baseline schedules as assigned
- Understand the contract Scope of Work, Specifications, Strategy, and Bid Conditions and assist in reviewing, developing, and modifying schedules for estimating and forecasting purposes
- Create specification-compliant schedules in Primavera (OPC/P6)
- Resource and cost load schedules for submission and EV management as required
- Evaluate project schedules to ensure accuracy, realistic information, conformance to policy and client specifications
- Participate in weekly and/or monthly owner schedule and revenue meetings
- Maintain all project schedule files, submission packages, and schedule history logs in accordance with standard policies and procedures
- Develop and present Time Impact Analyses in accordance with prescribed methodology
- Collect, process, and analyze data to form solutions
- Provide mentorship and training to planning and scheduling team members and project teams as needed
- Participate in business development activities to promote the company’s brand and services
- Perform all duties in a quality and timely manner
- Work on multiple projects and manage time and work appropriately
- Communicate transparently and directly to ensure all facts are received when discussing an issue
- Execute responsibilities with accuracy and precision
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Must be a U.S. Citizen
- Must have the ability to obtain a DoD Secret Security Clearance; current DoD Secret Security Clearance preferred
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction, or similar
- 10+ years of scheduling experience in the federal construction industry with demonstrated success on projects with a minimum value of $20M
- Skilled in reading construction drawings
- Familiar with USACE, NAVFAC, and OBO scheduling requirements
