This role involves managing daily accounting functions, maintaining financial accuracy, and supporting client operations in a fast-paced environment. The position is part of the Client Accounting & Advisory Services team, focusing on executing accounting tasks, preparing financial statements, and ensuring seamless financial operations for multiple clients using cloud-based tools.
Responsibilities
- Operate within a global framework, supporting teams across multiple time zones in Canada, South Africa, U.K., or U.S., and collaborating with international stakeholders.
- Prepare and maintain accurate financial statements, account reconciliations, and management reports.
- Process accounts payable, accounts receivable, and bank reconciliations with a focus on automation and efficiency.
- Maintain compliance with GAAP and other regulatory standards while ensuring the integrity of financial records.
- Utilize FloQast for financial close management, workflow tracking, and reconciliation processes.
- Work closely with clients to support their day-to-day accounting needs and provide timely financial insights.
- Assist in onboarding new clients, setting up Sage Intacct, and implementing financial workflows.
- Respond promptly to client requests, ensuring exceptional service and relationship management.
- Maintain minimum billable hours as defined by leadership.
- Provide strategic recommendations to improve clients’ HR and payroll efficiency.
- Collaborate with sales/account management teams to align deliverables with scope and client expectations.
- Identify service expansion opportunities and areas of client value.
- Leverage Sage Intacct and QuickBooks Online as primary accounting platforms for financial reporting, automation, and process optimization.
- Implement best practices for financial operations, including automation, process standardization, and internal controls.
Qualifications
- Detail-oriented and highly motivated with strong ability to manage daily accounting functions.
- Experience with cloud-based accounting tools such as Sage Intacct, FloQast, QuickBooks Online, and Xero.
- Ability to work with reconciliation automation, workflow approvals, and real-time financial reporting tools.
