Job Overview

Take on the strategic responsibility for the entire paid search area, developing future-proof search strategies, setting content standards, and ensuring testing, learning, and continuous development are integral to daily work. This role involves international, remote-first operations with significant strategic influence.

Responsibilities

  • Strategic oversight for complex paid search setups and international client accounts
  • Develop and advance cross-channel paid search and full-funnel strategies
  • Steer and prioritize operational measures with a focus on impact, scalability, and sustainability
  • Establish and evolve a consistent testing and learning culture in paid search, including hypotheses, regular tests, and systematic learnings
  • Ensure new ideas, formats, and platform features are continuously evaluated, tested, and developed
  • Provide strategic consulting on equal footing, including sparring with clients and internal stakeholders
  • Professional responsibility for the entire SEA/paid search team: methods, standards, quality, and development
  • Enablement, sparring, and professional development of team members in daily operations
  • Conduct pitches, client presentations, and internal knowledge-sharing formats

Qualifications

  • At least 5 years of experience in paid search / SEA / search advertising
  • Strong strategic understanding of performance marketing, business goals, and digital contexts
  • Experience with complex account structures, automation, and modern paid search setups
  • Enthusiasm for developing hypotheses, testing, and systematically improving
  • Experience in strategic consulting and direct client contact
  • Structured, self-responsible working style, even in a remote environment
  • Negotiation-level German skills (C2); good English skills advantageous
