Job Overview

Join a team dedicated to supporting veterans and their families in navigating the VA benefits process through high-quality legal advocacy. Work directly with senior team members to prepare case documentation, communicate with clients and the VA, and manage claims and appeals.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct research and review client files to support case development.
  • Complete forms and releases with clients to obtain medical records, Social Security records, service records, and other necessary records and information.
  • Draft and submit claims, appeals, and correspondence to the VA.
  • Assist claimants in understanding and pursuing their VA benefits.
  • Manage and prioritize a high-volume caseload, meeting deadlines and ensuring timely communication.
  • Review VA decisions to verify all documents are present in client files.
  • Maintain detailed case records using a case management system.
  • Provide compassionate support and guidance to clients throughout the process.

Qualifications

  • At least 3-5 years as a Paralegal handling Veterans Disability cases; candidates with no Veterans Disability case experience will not be considered.
  • Experience with Neos Case Management or document management beneficial.
  • Excellent organization and time management skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Deadline and detail-oriented.
