Job Overview

The Account Executive drives sales growth by identifying and developing new business opportunities, building long-lasting customer relationships through a consultative sales approach, and ensuring customer needs are met. Success is measured by profitable sales, accurate estimates, repeat business, and strong referrals. The role involves working in a fast-paced environment, living out core values, and following safety programs.

Responsibilities

  • Proactively prospect for new customers through direct outreach like phone calls and in-person meetings, and indirect methods such as industry networking.
  • Build and maintain strong customer relationships by promoting solutions at trade shows, events, customer dinners, and through regular visits.
  • Qualify prospects using established criteria to ensure alignment with ideal customer profiles.
  • Drive the full sales cycle from initial engagement to closed sale and cash receipt, with support from the Sales Engineer.
  • Respond to customer inquiries via phone, email, mail, or in person, providing technical specifications, pricing, quotes, and other information.
  • Host in-person and remote customer specification review meetings to understand and address requirements.
  • Maintain ongoing contact with customers and prospects to support long-term relationship development.
  • Accurately enter and update sales opportunities, interactions, estimates, forecasts, customer orders, and related information in company systems.
  • Configure, price, and quote complex products including ambulances, stretchers, and other medical equipment, with support from the Sales Engineer.
  • Perform hands-on inspections of used units for remounting onto new truck chassis.
  • Evaluate and respond to bids and formal RFPs, including submissions to purchasing groups.
  • Attend final inspections and in-service delivery walk-arounds with customers.
  • Follow up with customers after delivery to promote satisfaction and long-term relationships.
  • Perform other duties as assigned and demonstrate core values while achieving team and company goals.
