Job Overview

The Account Executive drives business development in the wholesale lending sector by soliciting new B2B clients, managing relationships with brokers, and supporting the mortgage community through product offerings and superior service. The role involves strategic sales planning, pipeline management, and collaboration with operations teams in a dynamic, remote environment.

Responsibilities

  • Solicit and develop a prospective B2B client pipeline
  • Develop tactical strategies and sales disciplines to maximize production opportunity within designated territory
  • Manage pipeline and maintain acceptable performance metrics
  • Conduct disciplined relationship management of approved accounts, focusing on activity, wallet share, and market-share metrics
  • Drive improvements and efficiencies with clients
  • Develop production forecasts and marketing/business plans with relevant strategies
  • Engage with client and prospective client database through phone, email, direct marketing, and social media tools
  • Use CRM metrics to improve outbound sales actions, gather data, and update systems
  • Share ideas and best practices; serve as a peer mentor
  • Communicate and develop relationships with operations and fulfillment team members
  • Provide market intelligence
  • Maintain fluency in industry knowledge through training, publications, and bulletins
  • Be a subject matter expert on company policies, procedures, products, and technology
  • Conduct group presentations over phone or video to present processes, products, and technology platforms
  • Provide excellent service through disciplined follow-up and guidance to broker partners

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years recent experience as an Account Executive
  • Proven production history and established broker base
  • Strong knowledge in “A” Paper
  • Knowledge of FNMA/FHLMC and FHA/VA programs
  • Excellent networking and negotiation skills
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Detail-oriented, organized, and disciplined
  • Ability to learn quickly and apply knowledge in a fast-paced team environment
  • Ability to work remotely to establish, maintain, and grow relationships via phone, email, or other electronic forums, with face-to-face if local
  • High School Diploma or equivalent; some college preferred
  • Must be able to verify identity and employment eligibility to work in the U.S.
