Responsibilities

  • Lead sales efforts to secure new public agency clients through cooperative partnerships and targeting procurement teams.
  • Oversee and mentor a Business Development Manager to align with sales objectives.
  • Maintain and achieve personal sales quota through the full sales cycle from prospecting to closing.
  • Coordinate RFP responses, pricing, and service models, managing resources for presentations and negotiations.
  • Prepare and deliver customized sales presentations addressing public agency needs.
  • Build and maintain a strong sales pipeline through trade shows, outreach, and relationship-building.
  • Document sales activities and manage the funnel in the CRM system.
  • Cultivate long-term relationships with stakeholders to drive account penetration and introduce solutions.
  • Conduct post-sales follow-up for smooth implementation and satisfaction.
  • Develop innovative sales tools and strategies tailored to public sector needs.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to address client needs and improve offerings.
  • Partner with marketing for aligned strategies and participate in industry tradeshows.
  • Travel up to 60-75% and maintain knowledge of public agency challenges.
  • Assist in budgeting and develop strategic sales plans based on procurement trends.
