Job Overview

Lead sales and account management for product inventory targeting national accounts, including multi-unit accounts, quick service restaurants, casual dining, and c-stores across Canada. Develop and implement sales strategies, collaborate cross-functionally, and report to the Director of National Accounts. This remote role involves up to 40% travel to client sites within Ontario.

Responsibilities

  • Achieve sales, gross profit, and margin objectives by developing and growing customer relationships within the corporate account network, primarily targeting new multi-unit accounts.
  • Establish sales objectives by creating account management plans for target customers in support of corporate goals.
  • Develop sales plans including account-level targets, securing base business, net new business, and identifying growth opportunities in current and new accounts.
  • Support customers by recommending product lines, identifying new product opportunities, packaging and service changes, surveying consumer needs and trends, and tracking competitors.
  • Address customer service issues with urgency, providing solutions, guidance, and identifying process improvements.
  • Maintain up-to-date customer data in CRM, tracking and reporting calls, visits, quote pipeline, open items, and other product, customer service, and account management details.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in foodservice packaging sales, calling, and managing direct relationships with national food service chain accounts.
  • Regular travel of up to 40% throughout Canada, managing travel administration and team budget/expenses.
  • Bilingual in English and French.
  • Ability to develop and execute sales strategy through market analysis and deliver monthly business reporting.
  • Understanding of customer profitability management, pricing management, and forecasting customer usage.
  • Experience managing large complex accounts with national footprints.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team environment and build relationships.
  • Strong communication (verbal, written, presentation) and negotiation skills.
  • Valid driver’s license and mode of transportation.
