Job Overview

This role involves developing new business and supporting existing national accounts in the flavoring industry. Responsibilities include creating sales presentations, evaluating opportunities, establishing marketing programs, and demonstrating product value through a consultative approach. Responsibilities

  • Prepare and submit action plans, schedules, and reports on sales strategy to meet goals for assigned territory
  • Maintain consistent contact with key accounts
  • Grow current accounts through strategic planning
  • Identify and implement strategies for deeper penetration of existing customers by introducing new products or uses
  • Prepare and deliver sales presentations and proposals
  • Develop and maintain sales materials and product knowledge
  • Establish and maintain relationships with contacts within current and potential customers
  • Identify and resolve customer concerns with superior service
  • Work with field sales team to secure account distribution
  • Use internal resources to demonstrate product benefits
  • Prepare sales status reports on activity, closings, follow-up, and goal adherence
  • Participate in marketing and sales events such as seminars, trade shows, and meetings
  • Keep within budgets for promotions and travel
  • Exhibit passion, commitment, and resilience

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or related field
  • 3-5 years successful sales experience; food industry experience preferred
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Well-developed persuasion and negotiation skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to develop rapport with customers
  • Proficient in computer skills, including PowerPoint, Excel, and Salesforce
  • Exceptional attention to detail and ability to handle high-volume workload
  • Significant overnight and day travel, including auto and air; valid driver’s license required
  • Frequent evening/weekend work
  • Candidate must live in Ohio
