Job Overview

The Sales Director will lead growth in the Midwest/Northeastern Territory, visiting customers throughout the region, developing strong business relationships, and working with owners and engineers to promote HDPE pipe solutions. This role involves up to 60% travel and offers the opportunity to take ownership of a key territory and drive significant sales growth.

Responsibilities

  • Visit customers and prospects across the Midwest (up to 60% travel) to build and strengthen relationships.
  • Promote the value proposition to owners, engineers, and contractors, both in general and for project-specific proposals.
  • Partner with the Customer Service Director and inside sales team to understand project scopes, bids, and RFP requirements.
  • Develop new accounts while growing business with existing customers.
  • Collaborate with Inside Sales, Customer Service, and the VP of Sales to prioritize customer and prospect visits.
  • Provide customers with updates on production schedules and product availability.
  • Represent the company at industry trade shows, associations, and professional events to enhance visibility and reputation.
  • Accurately record all customer interactions and sales activities in the CRM system.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Marketing, or a related field (preferred).
  • 4–6 years of distribution sales experience and/or construction project management.
  • Strong knowledge of HDPE pipe, fittings, fabricated structures, and fusion equipment.
  • Technical expertise in municipal, industrial, or construction projects involving HDPE.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and customer service skills.
  • Proven ability to develop accounts, manage projects, and build long-term client relationships.
  • Ability to travel 60% of the time and lift up to 15 pounds occasionally.
