Job Overview

This fully remote role involves working with automation machine builders and manufacturing plants in the Boise, Idaho region to identify process improvements that enhance business results. The position reports to the Regional Sales Manager and emphasizes relationship building, business acumen, and technical expertise in industrial automation.

Responsibilities

  • Engage with customers to understand their business, products, and improvement initiatives.
  • Implement a sales process to define customer challenges and solution concepts.
  • Identify decision-making processes and key stakeholders in sales.
  • Leverage technical knowledge to provide solutions for automation challenges.
  • Communicate effectively via digital media, web conferences, LinkedIn, and phone calls.
  • Conduct in-person meetings for large projects to evaluate machines, solve applications, or present solutions.
  • Collaborate in a team selling environment.
  • Prospect and approach new business for growth.
  • Continuously learn industry trends and relevant solutions.
  • Focus on sales and new customer growth metrics.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of related technical sales experience preferred.
  • Engineering or Business degree preferred.
  • Industrial automation experience preferred.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills for interacting at all organizational levels.
  • Ability to sell remotely or face-to-face.
  • Attention to detail and multitasking in a fast-paced environment.
  • Self-disciplined with high urgency and collaborative mindset.
  • Ability to work independently and with teams.
