Job Overview

This sales leadership role involves leading and building a team of account executives focused on hunting for net new business in South East Asia, South Asia, and Greater China. The position emphasizes mentoring direct reports, achieving targets, and driving growth in a fast-paced, remote environment.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with sales leadership and other groups to support the team in over-achieving goals.
  • Help direct reports understand and articulate their career paths, partnering to achieve them.
  • Identify areas for improvement in the sales cycle aligned with core values and mission.
  • Partner with senior management, marketing, and business partners to iterate on go-to-market strategy.
  • Lead the team in identifying and prioritizing prospective accounts, establishing sales metrics, practices, forecast accuracy, and generating business.
  • Build a team, add pipeline, and fuel growth through inbound and outbound closed deals.
  • Provide guidance on sales tools and their integration for growth and improvement.
  • Understand customer profiles and business models to prioritize opportunities for repeatable results.
  • Conduct performance management reviews to ensure development and alignment with goals.
  • Provide weekly and quarterly reporting on opportunity statistics, pipeline, wins, losses, and improvements.

Qualifications

  • Proven track record of mentoring direct reports on pipeline building, opportunity advancement, and closing best practices.
  • Ability to foster cross-functional alignment and coordination with strategy and goals.
  • Consistent delivery against targets to achieve company and team goals sustainably.
  • Experience refining and evolving scalable, measurable, and predictable processes for team growth.
  • Knowledge of tools for account executive functions, including Salesforce.
  • Proven track record of hiring and maturing a growing team of geographically distributed account executives.
  • Experience in fast-paced, ever-changing environments like startups.
  • Proven ability to grow a global team with high standards of success and career advancement.
  • Strategic mindset with understanding of functional execution.
  • Leadership across multiple reports on a distributed basis.
  • Experience managing a team of quota-carrying account executives focused on net new business.
  • Fluent in writing and speaking English.
  • Experience working remotely is a plus.
  • Experience managing account executives across South East Asia, South Asia, and Greater China is an advantage.
