Responsible for prospecting, cold-calling, and qualifying sales leads in assigned territory. Involves travel to customer sites for presentations, demonstrations, relationship building, pipeline creation, and deal closing. Operates remotely while engaging with customers in their business environments such as repair shops, warehouses, and truck yards.
Responsibilities
- Manage territory by developing new business sales and prospects to grow revenue.
- Collaborate with Regional Sales Manager on territory management and account development.
- Implement aggressive prospecting plan through research, networking, cold calls, and appointments.
- Conduct 5+ demos per week to showcase technology benefits for business improvement and repair time reduction.
- Train customers to support renewal.
- Utilize CRM to record, maintain, and report customer information.
Qualifications
- Minimum of three years outside sales experience.
- Associate degree in Automotive Technology or related field preferred.
- Experience in the diagnostic tool industry preferred.
- Strong cold calling, prospecting, business acumen, sales quota achievement, and closing skills.
- Outstanding relationship-building, communication, and presentation skills.
- Ability to understand and overcome customer buying objections.
- Strong time-management, organizational, and prioritization abilities.
- Adaptability to quick business changes and excellent follow-up skills with urgency.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and relevant software.
- Valid driver’s license, reliable insured vehicle, and consent to background check.
- Physical ability for active role including vehicle demonstrations, lifting up to 50 lbs, and travel up to 75%.
