Senior Regional Sales Manager

This senior-level role involves managing and growing revenue for specific product brands in the electrical utilities industry, with territory responsibility in the Southwest United States and key accounts in Southern California, Australia, Ireland, and Jamaica. The position focuses on generating sales strategies, managing manufacturer representatives, building relationships with end-users and distributors, and supporting pricing and proposals in a collaborative team environment.
Responsibilities
- Maintain business and secure new product growth at existing key customers, developing relationships with decision makers for long-term value.
- Provide direction and structure updates from a network of independent Manufacturer’s Representatives.
- Facilitate engineering discussions and product recommendations for customers.
- Cultivate long-term relationships with end-users and distributors.
- Communicate differentiated value propositions to customers.
- Review margins and competitive positioning to price accounts appropriately.
- Propose and administer customer pricing under defined authority.
- Manage quarterly forecasting and usage projections.
- Collaborate with Inside Sales Representatives on order entry, quotes, scheduling, and custom agreements.
- Track and meet KPIs for sales volumes and margins.
- Support Sales Director in proposing and closing key accounts and projects.
- Build relationships with internal teams in Engineering, Operations, Procurement, Scheduling, and Finance.
Qualifications
- Experience selling into the electrical utilities industry, specifically investor-owned utility companies.
- Ability to build strong cross-functional relationships with customers to understand and deliver value.
- Ability to manage and influence the complex value chain in electrical utilities sales, including directing representatives, understanding distributor influence, and engaging end-users.
- Demonstrated capability for cross-departmental collaboration to create solutions meeting customer and business needs.
- Minimum 5 years of demonstrated success in relevant sales experience.
