This part-time role involves selling and merchandising Hershey products in an assigned territory, working 20-25 hours per week with flexible schedules. Responsibilities include visiting 6-10+ store accounts daily, driving personal vehicle for travel (reimbursed at 62 cents per mile), and ensuring optimal product distribution and displays.
Responsibilities
- Sell and maintain 100% distribution of authorized Hershey items in the assigned territory.
- Achieve merchandising objectives using permanent secondary displays and other vehicles per the retail execution plan.
- Report weekly activity, expenses, account changes, promotions, and administrative functions.
- Submit daily activities using tablet technology.
- Manage sales territory, varying by size, number of retailers, and location.
Qualifications
- Valid US state-issued driver’s license and personal vehicle in sound operating condition.
- Personal auto insurance with minimum coverage of $100,000 per person / $100,000 per accident / $100,000 property damage, permitting business use.
- Reside or willing to commute within territory boundaries (specific zip codes in Tacoma, WA area).
- Able to drive long distances for multiple daily sales calls.
- Able to lift 10-40 lbs., bend, kneel, stoop, and demonstrate manual dexterity regularly, with or without accommodations.
- Proficient with tablet technology and daily access to wireless internet.
- Flexible and adaptable to changes in territory coverage.
- Availability for 20-25 hours per week, overlapping core hours of 6:00am to 4:00pm, Monday through Friday.
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- 3-4 years of food merchandising experience preferred but not required.
